Save Money and Feed Your Kids for Free with Tesco's Kids Eat Free Scheme

Introduction

Tesco has announced that its Kids Eat Free scheme will be available during the February half term at all its cafes. This initiative aims to support families by providing free meals to children when they are off school.

How It Works

During the promotion, the cafes will offer one free Kids Hot Meal Deal, Kids Breakfast, or Kids Pick 'n' Mix deal with every item purchased by an adult. The adult item can cost as little as 60p. The menu includes popular options such as beans or avocado on toast, fish fingers, baked chicken goujons, or a sandwich.

If a child chooses a hot meal, they can also have a vegetable side dish. However, if they opt for a sandwich Pick 'n' Mix meal, they will receive a piece of fresh fruit and two snacks.

Supporting Families

Jason Tarry, Tesco UK CEO, expressed that they understand the financial strain on household budgets during school holidays. Offering free meals to children is one of the ways Tesco can support families during this time. In 2023, Tesco provided over 440,000 free meals to children and families during school holidays.

Additional Savings

In addition to the Kids Eat Free scheme, Tesco is helping families save money in other ways. They have reduced the prices of more than 150 everyday items by an average of 12.5% and are price-matching hundreds of items to Aldi. Customers can also take advantage of exclusive deals with up to 50% off through Clubcard Prices. Clubcard vouchers can be exchanged with Tesco Reward Partners, including popular establishments like PizzaExpress and Cineworld.

How to Redeem

To enjoy a free kids meal at a Tesco café during the half term, simply purchase an item at the café, which can cost as little as 60p. Make sure to present your Tesco Clubcard to redeem the offer.

Conclusion

Tesco's Kids Eat Free scheme during the February half term provides a valuable opportunity for families to save money and ensure their children receive nutritious meals. By offering free meals and additional savings, Tesco demonstrates its commitment to supporting families during school holidays.
